Indeed I never go beyond 60C without glue or anything, just a very clean glass and OFC calibration calibration calibration.

UM2 Automagic calibration assumes 0.1 gap while doing it. So to force it to squish to the bed use a 0.05-0.08 gauge feller.

Also check your fan speed,
Try 50'c for the bed, and 0 fan speed for the 1st layer at 0.2mm thickness.
Then increase the fans over the next 5mm to full.

LePaul, Have you checked if all scres the bed pcb is mounted on the platform with are completely sunk into the pcb? As it is a refurbished UM2+ one has to check for UM2 problems as well.

Yes, levelling can be fine but if only one of those screws is protruding a bit this could result in a 'cold' spot on the glass. And then goes the adhesion. This was quite often an issue with the earlier UM2s.

I'm starting to think it might be the filament.

I need to do some tests with the remaining ColorFabb material and see how that sticks

IMO I always had bad experiences with silver plas from formfutura (horrible) and um (less but still). I suppose makes sense that something with extra shiny particles cools slower.

So...since the filament temps are controlled in the Ulticontroller/display on the UM2...if you wanted to run something like nGen, how to you program the temp into the machine....since it seems absent on Cura

Edited the MATERIAL.TXT file and used 230C for nozzle, 80C for bed and 50% fan. I also used their 45 mm/sex retract speed and 4.5 mm distance

Trying a robot print with nGen. You can see it looks good so far. And you can hear the retractions at work

Nice Paul! It's such a shame you keep running into troubles. But that is a sweet looking ultibot. Just the cooling of the right antenna seems to be off, but overhangs are sweet!
