Howdy!!

I joined this forum hoping to get advice. I've had great success printing small items. Whenever I try to print something with a large surface area at the base, parts of the base typically stick to the resin tray instead of lifting with the build plate. I've tried lifting the object off of the plate and using supports and many other random ideas. No matter what I try, large surface area objects end up with wavy bases.

What am I missing?

Resin printers don't like printing large areas, so try to avoid them if possible.
Put the print at an angle and use medium/heavy supports.
I've done prints straight on the build plate, the main problem I find with the Saturn 2/4 is getting the prints off the plate.

I've tried supports, but only medium ones. I will try heavy. Also will try an angle.
I have used a heat gun to remove difficult prints. Heat the non print side to 130-150 degrees and it comes off easily.
It happens with many large prints, not just one.

I'm beginning to think the resin I've been using may be the issue. Tried a large surface area print with a different brand of resin and it came out great when printed flat on the build plate.

Now for a question just as heated as which is better, Coke or Pepsi. What brand of resin do people have the most luck with? Nothing fancy, just standard resin. Maybe a better question would be "is there a brand to avoid?"

I use standard Elegoo ABS like, not 3.0 but the original one, I've had no problems with this, been using it for years.
