I used to ride a motorbike, a Honda VT500, in the City of London, the busiest part of London. I got hit three times, every driver was a woman

The Monster is a really fun bike to ride...even the "small" one. Beats a Harley anytime...and the Japanese "sewing machines"
I have one in my garage that I have, sadly, not had time to use for many years.

First or second model of Terrano? I had a Terrano 2 with a 2.4 litre engine, petrol. Very unpretentious and hardy machine.Izzy wrote:I was bad enough on a push bike, I used to get pulled over for speeding in a 30mph limit.
So a motor bike was not for me, and a car A Triumph Herald 1159cc was my 1st car, followed by a Triumph Spitfire 1300,a couple of fort escorts
, a Triumph TR7 drophead, Mazda 626s then Nissan Teranno, X-Trail, and currently a Qashqai.
My Dream car is a Triumph Stag

Hi Ivan it was the Teranno ll 2.7 diesel. I liked the high driving position and as a diver at the time great for all my kit and towing the club rib.

Oh Yes, she could pass where LC100 and Nissan Patrol sat on the bottom. And compared to Toyota Surf interior was huge, particularly the rear seats

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
My goodness, I put that motorcycle for sale on CraigsList and it has been non-stop high school kids messaging for it.
Many do not even have a motorcycle license or permit. I explain that this is not a beginner's motorcycle but they, of course, feel they can handle it.
Maybe I am being too protective and should just sell it to whoever offers the money first...but I would hate to see anyone get hurt.

I think you are doing it the right/sensible way...once upon a time I wanted something like that, but now i'm glad I never had enough money, or perhaps enough good sense, so I never bought one. These days I get enough "excitement" by watching them race on TV

One of my friends lives on the Isle of Man in the UK where they have that amazing motorcycle race. He says the accidents are horrific and this year, he and his family are retreating to Iceland for a vacation during the race
