Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
Found some information from a person I helped a long time ago.
My printer uses an MPX .3 board should be compatible with Our MPK V1
#define SERVO0_PIN 19 // Z+ Connector.
An follow instructions on ANTCLAB’s page.

Is the ground for the 3 pin connector near the edge of the board on the D11 connector.

No
I made this PDF
Hope it helps
This was designed for Base 1.3 Board
Some cosmetic differences to the board were made,
This is the closest i have found, Need to create my own board pin-out.
When Board is mounted in 3D Printer
These connectors are the same 5v (Bottom), Gnd (center), Signal (Top)
I want to remove the D12 connector an replace with a 4X3 pin header so I could access all the A11, A12, D11 and D12 pins.

I will make a Board Pinout
Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
I also sent a email to ANTCLAB requesting their assistance on the MPK V1 board.
Looking in the changes necessary for in the Marlin/scr/pins file, to change the unused Z+ to a servo for the BLTouch. May need some help in getting that done, if I decide I have to go that way. Understand I will have to dissemble the 3pin plug and reorder the connectors.
Again thanks for all of your help!

The Pins are all in Marlin sub file pins_RAMPS.h

Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
Received my 3rd Hictop re-assembled test work good.
Will order a few parts for my modifications then start the upgrades to make all three equally excellent 3D Printers.
Measured the hotbed it is 220mm by 270mm same as the other two.
I see that the power cord and power wiring is underrated this I new would be the case.
I will start 3D Printing my STL models to help this printer print as good as my other two.
I will also start a new thread to allow for only my modification questions for other users.

Little confused here, looking at where to connect BLTouch to 19 (Z+) or to D11. I have pins at D11.
A11, A12 have no pins installed, D12 is partially covered with the D11 socket.
What ever connector I use, is the addition of
#define servo0 pin 19 or
#define servo0 pin D11 //or is it just 11
all that is needed in the pins file?
Congrats on the working printer. Hope you got a good deal!

Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
I tried for the longest when I purchased my 3D Touch to get it working with no luck.
I will be again testing this 3D Touch I purchased an see if I can get it to work this time.
It make me wonder if Hictop ever wired these pins.
Though as for this testing I will remove the Connector on D11 and add terminal pins to A11, A12 D11 and D12.
This will be after some visual inspection and continuity tests to verify that the pins are actually wired.
I need to do more work on my newest 3D Printer before I get to the point that I will try to wire my 3D Touch.
Here is a couple images of the 1st Print and with its lack of quality.
The main reason it is taking so long is because I do not have a decent work place, my workplaces are all full.
I do need to clean up the work space but have so many projects working on at this point...
Though the image show Z+ an Z- that is end-stop pin 19 an end-stop pin 18
Newest Hic-Top Pinout

Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
Found the last 6 pins on H6 connector.
H6 is a standard ICSP header, but for programming the ATmega 16U2
Shown in previous post bottom image. Wow One project finished.
This will give the Hictop users a more detailed look at our controllers pin-out.
Older Hictop controllers have basically the same pin-out the connectors have only been re-arranged.

What I read says Program BL Touch the same in Marlin as CR-10S and plug into D11 And Z- end stop
Maybe I can get input from some one with a CR-10S > BL-Touch that will help me set this up for us.

OK, I am on hold for now. I have the new 2.09 marlin firmware working on my printer, without BLTouch. Waiting on how to make a BLTouch connections and working on a MPK V1 motherboard.

Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
I configured Marlin 1.1.9BF several time today for Bl-Touch with no success.
Could not get the 3D-Touch to connect with D11 Pins so I pulled off the white connector plastic cap.
This exposed all 12 pin headers however 3 pins were cut short seen in image below.
This could also explain why I could never get it to work before, the pins were not long enough.
My 3DTouch has a different wiring needing me to swap my red an Brown wires to correspond with the connections.
When I flashed My Marlin 1.1.9BF-BL an homed it would travel XY then start Z the pin would drop and return to its home position.
Its as if it is already touching the build plates I inverted Z_Min_endstop with no change.
Will thank about this for a while to see what I did wrong.
I will completely check all my firmware configurations.
Any help would be appreciated
An Thanks in advance.

Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
Well hello Guess What!!!
I have a 3D Touch working on my newest 3D Printer.
Have not yet designed a modified mount the my Slide adjustable thumb screw Mount work.
I Need to acquire some extension wires as my 3D Touch only has about 6 inches of wire.
New if I put my mind to it would find the solution.

What magic did you use to get it working!
I have swapped the brown and red wires, I have a 3 pin white female connector to insert the into the D11 connector.
First attempt load, the nozzle homed to the center of the bed. The probe did not deploy, z/nozzle started lowering and I cut power. Reviewing the firmware to see if I can find the problem.
Any help will be appreciated.
