Re: How to Attach Photos
Just booted into Linux/Ubuntu. Tried again : attaching a 1.4mb .jpg. Same issues as Winblow's mentioned earlier in the thread. Interesting...

Re: How to Attach Photos
You've got me stumped...send me a screenshot of what you are seeing over on Facebook....maybe i can narrow it down further.

Re: How to Attach Photos
A screen shot will look just like your fixing to attach a photo. Again, the upload bar shows progress, completes the file upload then nothing. No status, no inline tab... I will try the Web Developer option to see what is going on with Firefox. Again, no issue on any other board/forum. Definalty strange issue for sure! Want to get it fixed, as I'm "yelling" at the gang over at the BB-8 builders to join here; it is getting very difficult to follow the HICTOP thread there!LePaul wrote:You've got me stumped...send me a screenshot of what you are seeing over on Facebook....maybe i can narrow it down further.
I will try a screen shot, we will figure it out.
Cheers

Re: How to Attach Photos
Trying, I AM trying to get them over here. Again, FB is NOT a great place for a printer thread!
I have NO logical idea why they wont come over here. I do appreciate your efforts, and understand as mentioned I ran a 'droid' board using phpBB for the Southern R2 Builders Group years ago.
Anyway, interesting... I could update my avatar (a cat pushing a watermelon, that picture I got back in the UNIX 1980's days when I was coding my rear end off). So, I can update an avatar, but not post to a thread... hmm...

Re: How to Attach Photos : testing
As mentioned, my avatar worked, 90x90 pixel. Let's post is here and see what happens - I BET its a file size or resolution issue...
90x90 pixel, 84kb:
Full sized original file, 3kb:
Attachment menu came up fully, [Status] check, [Place inline] option worked Paul on these images, let's see if it post...

Yep, it worked. OK, we have a max pixel resolution issue... OR a file size issue. I'll test some more.

Re: How to Attach Photos
Again, there's only a size limit, nothing on pixels.
Here's the attachment setting, note where highlighted
Also, only adjustments are to the thumbnail

Re: How to Attach Photos
Interesting, all I did was to re-size the originals to the old 1024x768 format and it worked. Maybe there is a hidden internal to phpBB that we do not know about. I do some more testing. Thanks for your time Paul.

Status: Failed to upload.
Same file: resized to 1024x768 just to check again:

Paul, PM me your email addy or somewhere that I can send you the actual .jpg files so you can further investigate. Very interesting, indeed.
