Re: Need help creating builtin support

How would you even get those hex bolts inside the print ? laying the model down while printing you could pause at height and add the bolts (and would probably stick through the build plate ?) printing upright would cause the print head to bump into the hex heads if you add them during the print. if ...

Re: Automatic smoke/fire detector

There is smoke detectors with mains relay outputs that can be used to turn off the printer when it detects smoke. I have been thinking about installing one of those in combination with a automatic fire extinguisher in the 3D printer room at our makerspace, since we soon will have 7 printers in ther...

Automatic smoke/fire detector

I am in the process of making a new bigger printer, but now will have a very big heated bed, I am a bit more concerned about fire hazards, I did come across a few automatic fire extinguishers and smoke detector attached to the power outlet, but the extinguishers go off at a low temperature, and the ...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!

WOW and the biggest new feature is........drum-roll please...........the PRICE !!! This clearly shows Ultimaker is going afterthe professional market, it seems the hobby market is not where the big bucks are made. And I love the way to switch nozzles, no complex programming no complex mechanics...ju...

Re: Star Trek 3D prints!

They look nice, too bad the resolution is just a little to course for that size of objects,
but those stands are just terrible :)

I hope they release those files to the public.

Re: For Sale area?

I think no commercial links is a good idea, I visit other 3D printing sites, and I see the same postings to sell stuff on several websites at the same time, Like the 3D hubs Talk talk site, now there is a "Zoe" with a nice cleavage avatar selling stuff: https://www.3dhubs.com/talk/thread/s...
