UM2 to UM2+ print head upgrade
I know I inquired about this a while back but can't seem to find all the info again.
I'd like to Frankenstein the old UM2 printhead into another machine at some point. But, I would like to upgrade it to UM2+ spec.
Again, nothing to do with the extruder/motor setup. Just printhead
So I know I can find...
1) Olsson Block/35w heater
2) New TFT
3) New fan shroud to fans point down
But I can't figure out what to replace the spring with. I know the UM2+ has a spacer in there, but who sells one?

Or you can just print one...fixed or adjustable.

Maybe, but I would use Greentec just to be on the safe side.

Looking around Youmagine I see @Anders Olsson has a spacer as does @Neotko

Since you are less a tinkerer and more a print-use-forget. Print a normal spacer or the @gr5 spacer
Anders Olsson spacer allows to adjust the distance. It requieres a fine tuned machine and a good hightemp material for it to work right.

Or better, just order the aluminium spacer to a reseller, it has a specific height and this way you can install it following Ultimaker instructions https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/2218 ... fm-coupler
Any reseller will be able to sell you also the Spacer (printable, search for sandervg on youmagine). This cost 3-4 bucks, and you avoid readjusting stuff and you can just follow UM instructions and avoid tinkering.

What's the i2k? Is it needed? Or just the spacer?

look at this : http://www.ideato3d.be/fr/product-categ ... rs-teflon/
and here : http://3dsolex.com/product-category/ult ... -um-parts/
there is a coupler "TFN" (not TFM...)
and a ring : I2K for high temp (295°C)
