Re: Welcome, where are you from?
Hello everyone, Martin from Switzerland, (sorry @LePaul, not America ). I have an UMO with a HBK (not from UM), GT2 Belts & Pulleys + @chopmeister blocks! (How do I tag a person?)

Re: Welcome, where are you from?
Tagging is currently not supported...the extension that does support this has a problematic history, which includes slowing the system down (slow page loads). I'll let you know what i find in the near future.martin-bienz wrote:Hello everyone, Martin from Switzerland, (sorry @LePaul, not America ). Re: Welcome, where are you from?
Hi, PeggyB from Amsterdam:
2 UMO's and a UM2Go
Kinect, Structure and a DavidSLS scanner
Last 2 years maintaining 10 UMO's, giving courses at a kind of makerspace that had to close its doors last summer (sadly)
I am making 3d printed jewelry and using the UM's for prototyping and exploring new materials

Re: Welcome, where are you from?
Almost forgot it: Dim3nsioneer checking in from Switzerland... using an UMO and an UM2.
I'm currently very interested how things develop with SLA printing (e.g. Carbon3D) and multijet printing...
Nice to see you all again!

Yes, agree! I was hoping to be able to have a beer with swordriff this week and invite him over, but unfortunately he seems to be out of town.

Re: Welcome, where are you from?
It's true that there are plenty more people left I would like to see join here, but that still doesn't diminish the fact that the popularity of this forum is growing faster than I expected. So very nice overall.

Re: Welcome, where are you from?
Hi,
My name is Roger and I live in the country side outside of Uppsala, Sweden (yes, one more from Europe). I haven't been around in the Ultimaker forum for more than a few months. But long enough to not really like the Ultimaker forum. And in a thread yesterday neotko shared a link to this forum so now i'm here too. I have access to an UM2 in my company's office and I have an UMO+ at home that still isn't assembled...although I found some time to paint it at least
The goal is to have it assembled soon in stock configuration and then start upgrading it with various pieces. The only thing I have decided so far is to switch to GT2 belts. The HW is in a box too...just need the printer up and running so I can print new blocks. I guess i'm more of a tinkerer than an artist...
I'm a consultant by day and do a lot of integration and test of various client systems, and some development. I'm not really an expert in anything...i'm just "kind of" good at many things

Welcome, nilrog!
I am the same way, I love discussing 3D printing and many times, I look forward to getting home and trying a few ideas. But once I get home from the gym, then have supper...well, my motivation to do more sometimes wanes
