Final printer has broken

My old Photon resin printer started to play up a while back so that got cleaned and left as I had the Saturn 2 resin and the FDM.
Then the screen broke on the Saturn, as they are in short supply I ordered the new Saturn 4 as they seem to be an upgrade, deliver July. So I was left with the JGAurora A5S. Today it just stopped mid print and the screen was blank.
I'm now with any printers until I can either fix one, or the new one arrives. First time for years

Oh no! You'll have withdrawals soon!
If you're looking for a suggestion - try the Bambu Labs P1S. One of the undergraduate engineering students that works for me just picked one up. The print volume is a bit small for my liking (256 x 256 x 256mm) but it prints pretty quickly and the support seems quite good.

Thanks Paul. I'm looking for about 300x300 as that's what I had before, the Saturn 4 will be doing most of my prints.
I contacted JGAurora about the problem on the A5s but I've had no reply, not good support.
A friend also mentioned the Bambu Lab P15 so it must be a good printer.

Yeah the JG's are literally the cheapest of the cheap. They and Anycubic are just awful FDM machines. I haven't heard anyone owning one more than a few years and praise them.

I must have a had good one, it's over 5 years old and done hundreds of prints. I've only had the usual minor problems.

Well I've had time to think about and look at the Saturn 2 printer.
The screen has a big crack across it, but I think it's just the glass. The screen image loos good though.
While I was cleaning it I notice resin that had cured onto the Top plattern. I scraped it as clean as I could without damaging it.
I re-levelled the plattern and tried another small print, not going over the crack, it came out OK.
I bigger one going over the crack still produced a good print.
Looks like some resin had stuck to the plattern and had cracked the glass, but it was small enough not to be noticed.
I may have a working printer again

, I'll keep you posted.
