.
I'm thinking of buying a CR-10 Smart Pro, it would be my first 3d printer, I want to get something I can keep for years, maintain, and learn all about. I am fairly technical (experienced in programming, web sites, electronics tech, mechanic) I don't mind a learning curve.
Does anyone have any experience with this printer? I'd be very interesting in hearing your comments and experiences.
And does anyone think there are better printers for roughly the same money, sub $1000.
Thanks in Advance,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Creality comes up with a new machine every three months, it seems.
I'd check the YouTube reviews for starters
The other thing I would mention is consider safety. An enclosure would be a good investment plus considering fire safety.
Not to scare you away but a good read is here -

So, yes, ,check out printers and when you pick one, also consider the safety!

Thanks LePaul , I'll keep the printer outside with plenty of ventilation and if it catches fire it won't harm anything else. Good to know about the fire hazard, I read a little about emissions but nothing about fires before, so thanks.

Re: CR-10 Smart Pro, experiences? SOLVED
I found a great deal on a CR-10 so I think I'll buy that and do a few upgrades and see how I like it. So thanks again LePaul for the information.
IDK how to close a thread.

Hi,
If you keep the printer outdoors with adequate ventilation and if it catches fire, why won't it damage anything else? Good to know about the fire hazard, I had read a bit about emissions but nothing about fire before, If you can work online you will earn very well. so thanks.
