If we are talking about printers: Last week my new, second printer arrived! I unpacked and tested it this weekend - and it is SOOOO cute :-D

Interesting. Can you comment on why you bought exactly this one? I guess cuteness was not the only argument...

The cuteness was one of the main factors :-) But other reasons where the excellent reviews it got from Angus and Chuck on their YouTube channels, the size, the fact that it apparently prints flexible filaments fairly okay and last but not least the price. For under 250 EUR it is the ideal printer to have around in case something on my UM2 breaks and I need to make a replacement part.

It looks like I3 with integrated closed chamber from plexyglass. Designet for ABS printing?

It is the Fabrikator Mini 1.5 from Hobbyking. It is based on a I3 design but has only 8x8x8 cm build room. People have used it to print ABS but it has neither a heated bed nor is it closed, so I will see how well that will work. Since it can't print large objects, the warping shouldn't be that strong anyways.

I've had a former coworker inquire about that printer since it's so inexpensive. I'll be curious your thoughts and if you recommend it for a newbie

This are the pictures of the first flights of our Corsair AU-1.
It has a 3D-printed engine cowl and 3d-printed Engine mount
After we had finished the model plane in early spring, we found that center of gravity was way to far back.
We decided to move engine 40mm forward make a redesign of the cowl and saved 600 grams lead in the front.
It is flying very good now and we are so happy.
The shape of the cowl is not perfect, because of that I want to print a second one with slightly different shape.
...of course the final cowl will get a beautiful painting....
The diameter of the cowl is 260mm the height is 230mm, made of 8 pieces
The plane has a 60cc four stroke Radial engine.
Its wingspan is 215cm, it's weight is 12.5kg.

Oh come on, that thing looks downright evilly cool. How could she not go for that? You could borrow it for a barbecue and get it to roast the meat in its jawas or something. Maybe the thinner is getting to me again, I forget to put the lid back on sometimes.
