I know this has been reported a few times and some of the suggestions were to lay the filament on the floor, unspool the filament, etc. I hate all of those ideas (cats!) and wonder what other ideas you guys might suggest?

I use Robet's one with, the long version to take 1kg spools, it is great, reducing friction to the feeder.
I use my dovetail system so I have a modified mount.

She was probably responding to what she may have though was a mouse!

Out of desperation I tried this...and it works! I few rubs of sewing machine oil on the spool holder and the "fingernails on the chalkboard" screeching is silenced!Neotko wrote:Put some oil?

You could put a tissue there as well, which should work quite nicely and not be as messy. Secure it with a rubber band underneath.
