Yeah, on 1:100,000 scale you can't really judge whether the ventilation shaft is small enough to avoid getting shot at.

Going to Paris next weekend, and to Fuerteventura in August :D

I came back from my week off and caught a summer cold.

Sore throat...chest cough....what a weird summer, between this and a terrible allergy year!

Mid second week, currently enjoying sun up close to the polar circle. Taking dips in 18C water in the Gulf of Bothnia :)

Returning back home tomorrow night by train and then it's +4 weeks left of kid adventures around home.

My friend is off on a 10 day cruise of the Med, leaving Athens, then on to Malta and then on to Italy. She's super excited...it was to originate from Turkey but due to security concerns, moved to Greece.

I can take another week off...maybe in the fall

Tonight we're doing some maintenance...I keep the doors and panels on R2-D2 closed up. (Taped shut from inside) I used to have servos and all the gadgets inside of R2 but I quickly learned that parents do not police their children well. Many servos were damaged from children pulling the doors open and damaging the motorized gadgets inside.

Well, it still happens but with the doors taped shut the aluminum trim gets pull apart from the door despite it being expoxied on. (I should CNC a one piece door but it's very tricky to do!)

But...the little guy enjoyed all the attention and cleaning.

These days, everybody uses 2.4Ghz transmitters. Emmanuelle uses a 4PX from Futaba

Started to do documents for travel to Baikonur on 16 November. Roscosmos issues permits for entry to Star city was very slow.
Found option three-hour flight on a MIG-29 aerobatics and includes 40 minutes in the stratosphere, but the price is very bite.

Started the year with only the red monster truck and this summer I bought the bigger truck above it in used condition.

To my surprise that deal also included the top and bottom car...and an incomplete electric chassis similar to the top one. So now both kids and I have one car each, in reachable height for each of us :)
