All designs have downsides, i am also worried about getting a zone where melted plastic are not moving and degrading right between where the two tubes join, that possibly could jam the nozzle... only on the 0.4 and 0.6mm nozzle tough, the larger sizes will likely have no problem with this because of the larger exit hole and the usually higher flow rates.

That was my second question to Carl once he told me about the idea... the first one was: Will Atomic Pull still work with it? :-)

From what I could see up to now, the filament change works like normal. But Atomic Pulls might be an issue. I have not dared to try one yet...

I would think the atomic pull would be fine, after all I'm sure Carl would have done this during development to test it and if its wasn't able to survive a notice would be on the site warning against it :ugeek:

I wonder about atomic also. For me it's a must-do. I use lots of pastel colors and I can't have color contamination.

I wonder ehen I'll have time to test the 0.4 nozzle I have. I have spend 4 freaking days trying to solve a issue that in the end was 80% because this freaking heat in madrid.

Izzy: The nozzle will survive, no problem, what reibuehl and Neotko is talking about is that a atomic might not clean it all the way trough...
