Disable posts with links for new users?

Post by reibuehl »

Hello @LePaul and all!

Is there a way to disable posts with links for new users? The amount of spam here is enormous and it is typically users with no previous posts and at least one link in the post. Can this be configured?

I'm re-reading the docs and trying to firm up the settings to help reduce the spam/bots that are creating a lot of work for me (and the moderators)

I'll be doing an upgrade soon as well, so I appreciate your patience!

It just feels like I am the only moderator that deletes this stuff. And that is extremely cumbersome since there is no way for me to delete all messages from one user. I can ban them and I can delete their messages area by area, but if a user posts >200 messages distributed over all our areas, this is just a lot of work that nobody except me seems to care doing. :-(

Roberts_Clif volunteered to help, I believe I added him successfully and linked the Moderator Guide to him

It is all quite on the western front!

I have seen no unrelated 3D Printer posts this weekend.
