Is there a contradiction in the combing mode?

Post by Danielbetu »

In the description of the combing mode it says that the nozzle keeps on the already printed parts to reduce retractions, but curiously there is an option to "avoid printed parts when traveling" and that confuses me, because it seems contradictory...

I also want to ask the experts (I am very new in this wonderful world of 3D printing) if it is better to activate the combing mode or if it is more convenient to activate the Z hop mode and that the nozzle goes directly where it has to go but previously it has raised with the value of Z hop that we have put?

Note: As I am in the learning phase, I have activated the "combining mode" and the "avoid printed areas" and I had great doubts if it is correct and if it brings benefit to my prints...

Thank you very much in advance!!!

Have you installed the Settings Guide Plug In from Marketplace? That explains a great deal of the settings
