[Resolved] Need Help Converting Sketchup File

Post by reibuehl »

Hi all,

I have a file that seems to be from a Sketchup version 17.x that I can't open with my Sketchup Make 2015 version - the last free standalone version.

Does anybody of you have access to a current Sketchup (Pro?) version that could convert this file to a format that I can use in Fusion 360 (STEP, DWG, ?) or at least load with my old Sketchup 2015?

Best regards,
Reiner

Googling shows that maybe an export from Sketchup to the .dae (COLLADA) format might work too as FreeCAD can import this format and then export STEP.

Rhinoceros was able to import SketchUp files and export STEP. Also, there are some online converters for your task, I believe

I found a version of Sketchup Make 2017 in the meantime. This one was able to open the file and I could export it.
