Re: Firmware for HICTOP 3DP08
This is a good first print. I had to do a lot of filing and sanding to get the two parts to slide smoothly
Will be here if you have any questions.

Re: Firmware for HICTOP 3DP08
Hello again!
I managed to add strain relief for the motor wire bundle with a printed part and I printed the auto sensor leveling mechanism. Thanks for the tips that have helped me get this far! I modified the firmware with the information you provided and reloaded the folder to Google Drive. I "commented out" quite a few of the other auto-sensor lines which I believe no longer apply, but I wondered if you would be willing to take a look at the configuration file before I load it to my printer? I am a little paranoid about bricking the thing. Any recommended changes or comments are very much appreciated! Thanks again.
Regards,
Buzz

Hello again!
Have a google Drive link with all firmware compatibly with your 3DP08 3D Printer Here.
Have given this firmware to many Hictop users and It has worked on all Hardware Compatible Hictops.
I believe you will be happier with the newer versions of firmware that I have posted there.
And have a few other links with more compatible 3D Printed Models.
Chain
Controller Cover
Hictop Duct
Spool Holder

On your Google Drive site, which of the five listed firmware files do you recommend that I use? Also, thank you for the .stl files for the accessories!

Re: Firmware for HICTOP 3DP08
Currently I am using Marlin 2 on all my 3D Printers and even My MPCNC.
Though you can choose any version that you would like.
I could have stopped on Marlin 1.1.5 and really would not know the Difference.
I really like to the full adventure of All the 3D Printer fun including the Firmware testing and updating..

Re: Firmware for HICTOP 3DP08
So, using a downloaded copy of the Marlin 2 files you shared with me, I changed the DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,2560,94.4962144} for my axis, then tried to compile using the Arduino software to get a .hex file. Instead, I keep getting a compile error. I am not real familiar with this Arduino app, but went out to youtube to learn how to compile with it. I may be making a mistake. I am trying the same thing with the copy of MArlin 1.15 you shared, as I write this note. Any recommendations you may have are appreciated.

Re: Firmware for HICTOP 3DP08
To build Marlin 2.0 you'll need Arduino IDE 1.8.8 or newer or PlatformIO.

OK, got it. Thanks again. I have an earlier version working now, but will begin working on 2.0.
