Being made in China I can't say I'm surprised !
Has anyone else had this problem where the on off switch has had a melt down inside its casing?
For safety I'm considering fitting a switched relay which would prevent a switch arcing and possibly prevent a fire! Would be appreciated if anyone could post their mods if any.

Re: Toggle Switch has Encountered a Meltdown!
My Hictops did not come with power switches. Instead they came with a cheap underrated power cord.
Instead I swiped a Computer Power cord and supply cord connector from a broken ATX power supply.
Then I used power cords, on/off switches and wires that would supply the 3D Printers loads correctly.
Then the wires from the supply to the controller were underrated so used a Motorola business radio wire.
Now if I would have wired my 3D Printer with the wires supplied there most likely would have been a meltdown.
