Problem with surface finish

Post by arielaelelog »

Hello,

I am doing a box, with some drillings and I have a problem with some diagonal extra lines on the surface.
I don't mind the lines of the printing, but after finishing the layer, the printer does some diagonal lines crossing the printing lines, and those are the ones that I'm trying to get rid of.

Is there any configuration of the printing software to avoid those lines. I am using Ultimate Cura to print.
Is there something about the travel configuration that could help me?

Thank you

The lines you are seeing are retrace lines. they can be eliminated by sett Z-Hop under retraction.

Z-Hop raises the nozzle a tiny bit so it does not drag across the surface causing retrace lines.

Hi Rorbert, I am already pinting using "Z hoop when Retracted", and I am still getting those retract lines when printing the last layer :-|

I think that's Combing and Cura should give you an option of something like "Not on top" or the like
