First Lithophane
Turned out a little thick, but still looks good with backlight.

Re: First Lithophane
Seeing these always makes me want to grab a Dremel and do some Plexiglas etching
One of the first things I'm gonna do on my CNC (when and if it might actually finally ever be built and work) will be a 3D engraving in 10mm Plexiglas with RGB lighting... *dreams*

Re: First Lithophane
You are doing it wrong, print it standing on the long edge instead and you will get much better resolution!
White PLA works well, natural/translucent materials are too transparent.
There is a rather nice website to make STL-files from gray scale photos by the way:
http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/
One can make curved lithophanes on that site too which can be used as lamp covers for example.
You obviously need to use 100% infill.White PLA works well, natural/translucent materials are too transparent.

Re: First Lithophane
On end, good tip. I do use 100% infill. I also need to adjust the thickness.
