You did launch the full print? I would have cut a piece to check supports first ummm

Hopefully the 2 layers of roft supports should come out without too much trouble.

Yes, as I said, I was going to give it a go!

That one close up is the only spot that looks a little odd but should clean up with a knife. I am at work now so I'll know more when I get home

Results

On the Pro side, the bottom supports came off in segments, much easier than Cura

On the bad side, the ends on the part contain two holes and a slot. On each side of this part, it's blocked up and I'm not sure I can remove what's there. One hole wasn't made...just a dimple. :(

The bottom two prong pieces also have no holes. Just an indentation where one is

The external finish is really nice tho!

I have a new one printing with Cura now.

Oh that part has holes too. With the cross section viewer it could be really easy to remove the supports on that cavities. That's why I was surprised you clickprint it. I'm not familiar with the object and it's needs. I focused on the very small area that prints over supports, that a very hard thing to print on any printer (except um3 when th pva).

Others are printing it up. It's a challenge to orient and of course the long print times

I think it can be very very easy redesign to cut it in two using the same clamp system and would print with minimal to none supports.

Let's try it

I'm out of filament (nGen) after this print but I have lots of ColorFabb PLA. I also noticed Frederick had some unique fan layer cooling set up in that

Do you have access to the original file in step or something editable?

Here is last night's print and what I get 25% of the time with Cura. One piece not fully supported gets separated. I wish Cura offered supports you can edit and fine tune. Adding a z height support (roof) makes for a very difficult supper to removed. What's most frustrating is 75% of the time the print comes out great. Then....one like this
