Your model looks like the M4 is screwed just into the plastic of the last part. Maybe there is a thread modeled or the hole is just a little undersized and the screw will cut its own thread.

Finished printing and installing my new bearing guides, photos below, details of the parts and bearing and screws etc if people want them will follow and also be put on YouMagine.
They are attached via the screws used on the back although slightly longer screws are required, and the swivel about the mounting points to all alignment.

101% on the other filament guide fit perfect!

Installed. Let's see how a 14 hour goes!

Izzy; i've created a new bracket for the BondTech Feeder. you can just use 2 longer M3 screws on the top, it bolts right on the back, the feeder is sitting on back very high on top and you can use the original brackets.. no need for all those filament guides...
(i've never used any of those and i've logged some pretty impressive hours without failures)

....and the power failed for 17 minutes... battery backup was only good for 10. Did I mention I have all the luck! :)

Paul, can you please let us know all your travel plans and whereabouts, with your run of negative luck I don't think we want to be too close to you :-o .It's not that we don't care for you, we really do mate honest :-)
Can I suggest you stay away from California as well.

If you were a fan of HHGTTG you are a form of rain god, just your a bad luck deity. :lol:

Hi Korneel, I looked at your Bondtech mount but it interferes with my mounting system and the large filament holder.
I'm fairly happy where the feeder sits at the moment but I'm considering fitting a USB driven cooling fan and duct about the Bondtech feeder body as it gets a tad warm on lots or retractions, although a raspberry pi with a temperature sensor that can control the fan might be better.

Just now when changing filament I noticed a strange dent on the side of the filament end:

When talking about my extruder problems a while ago with @Swordriff he mentioned that the I2K could be the source of my problem. After seeing that filament end, I finally got the motivation to take apart the hotend and check his theory. When I tried to remove the I2K from the steel coupler, it was stuck in there so hard that I couldn't even get it out! So it might be deformed and really the source of the problems.

I now used a new steel coupler without an I2K and will try to remove the I2K later...
