With two printers on one table, I was noticing how the UMO really shakes, rattles and rolls

That might be good for Elvis music, not so much for the prints or neighboring printer

I happened to have some rubber drawer liner that I planned to use inside the toolbox drawer for tools to rest on.
I cut a small piece, folded it in half and placed under each corner of the printer. I also did the same for the neighboring printer.

It seems to have helped some and is a pretty inexpensive tweak.

Ninjaflex feet...

Daym! I had feet(gijs), but printing them in flexible is smart!
And that design looks nicer than Gijs' tbh. Then again Gijs used rubber bands to get it working, this design doesn't require that!

Something such as yoga mat?

I'm using a set of foam cushions you can buy to stick onto sharp edges so your kids don't get hurt when they bump into them. Don't ask me how that is called properly in english
Cost me around 10$ and they fit the UMO corners perfectly. The foam density is very good to absorb vibrations. Has been in use for more than two years now...

Now on to the topic:
I made a design to decouple the feeder from the printer frame about two years back, when I got my UMO+. It is still hosted on YouMagine atm and can be found here: Feeder Damper
It is an easy to install drop-in, you just need a zip-tie, or some wire to attach.

Overall, the TPU materials seem to break down a little over time, losing some degree of softness. However I did not feel the need to replace my print in two years. There was still some residual humming which I could get rid of by placing a small piece of foamed plastics (that mattress like stuff used for packaging electronics) under the bottom part touching the backplate.

At least with my UMO+ I found that most of the noise was produced by the stepping of the feeder resonating on the backplate acting as a "drumhead".

Rubber feet come in handy none the less

A bit late but since I just opened an account ... I designed feet that looked quite similar in 2012 (printed in UM soft PLA):

That's a good idea. Lord knows my Ultimaker Original is so loud, you'd think there's a haunting underway from upstairs.
