Suggested upgrades for the UMO?

I've had my Ultimaker Original (kit) since September 2013.
The only "Official" upgrade has been the heated build plate. Overall it was a good upgrade but the process of getting it assembled, installed and learning to use it had some frustrations. I'll cover that in another post later.
I had a problem with squeaking coming from the Bowden tube fitting on the feeder early on. This piece fixed that: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22851
Since the addition of the heated build plate, I really noticed that prints with overhangs struggle with the airflow of fan only on one side.
I am going to replace the duct on the original fan with this shroud: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:69327
I found a fan that is identical to the one that came with the UMO (50 mm) and printed this shroud: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:267403
I'm a little concerned where the shroud comes close to the print head...it might get soft or melt...but with air flowing through it, it might survive?
What tweaks have you made to your UMO?
