Ugh

Post by GrueMaster »

Ok, so bed adhesion is an issue for me, even with this new printer. It MUST be environmental (or me), because I have the same issue with my other printer on blue tape. This is also why I have issues leaving my printers unsupervised.

At least this one is easier to disassemble.

I should also note that my son has the CR-10, and he prints like a madman. His is almost always running, day and night. So it isn't the printer.

Oh man, I dread ever getting something that awful

I had really good results on the included glass, using the Elmers Wood glue and diluting it in a container of water (10 parts water, 1 part wood glue). Brush on and heat bed to dry.

The only reason I went to LokBuild was I got some lifting on one of the big prints, so a 45 hour print became trash.

However, LokBuild is almost too good, where you have to whack the print off with a hammer!

I think the only thing that kept it from getting worse was that the sample spool ran out sometime during the print. Oddly enough, the filament sensor was not detecting it, or at least Octoprint failed to notice (although I thought the printer would halt regardless).

Well, back to cleaning. Head is completely disassembled now, just need to clean out the residue in all of the small holes.

On the bright side, I guess this is a good excuse to change my filament.
