I have noticed that there are two styles of heat blocks.

horizontal vertical The first is the one I am currently using. It has a 10mm heat to throat.
The second one has a 20mm heat to throat.

This give the filament twice the time to heat before leaving the nozzle.
Is there any information that could be used to determine is any advantage in speed by upgrading from a horizontal heat block to a vertical heat block.

First one is the typical E3D v6 heat block clone... the second one is the typical E3D Volcano heat block clone

Yes, what @Chaco said. If you want to print a lot of volume (big nozzles...or as they say, print like toothpaste!)...those work well.

Was hoping to increase the Print speed, do not know the limits before the Printer movement start shacking 3D Printer to pieces.
Or
How fast you can 3D Print before material lamination will fail, guess only one way to find out it to stress the limits.
(Believe lamination print quality fails long before the 3D Printer shacks apart.)
