Was printing an my Parts Fan Duct caught the spikes on a model that was being printed to close to the bed.
An was bubbling causing spikes that caught breaking the model parts duct.

It should have have a shorter throat cooling vent that deformed the duct causing it to float too close to the bed.

There's some good add on's for printers on thingiverse, only had a brief look but definitely going back there to have a good thorough look.

This is my Design,
Hot End Cooling.jpg
You can see I added a 2 fin heat sink over the Throat, after this was done needed to vent air to the heat sink.
Re-designing and Reprinting the Duct allowing for the button head screw, now allows it to float horizontal.

Also you can see in the image my Proximity sensor hanging off the White spring loaded slide mount.

I recently had a heating problem with my printer which made it shut down just after the fan started up. The problem was at the end of the duct there was a V cut that let air blow onto the extruder nozzle which in turn cooled it too much!

This happens when the parts cooling fan blows on the nozzle / heating block.

The duct I designed blows air on the Part to slightly cool and the throat to keep it cool.
This upper duct cools the heat sink cooling fins allowing the PTFE tubing inside the throat a longer life.
While the lower Parts cooling duct allows for 3D Printing longer and larger bridges and overhangs.

Yes.
I have again re-designed the Hictop Extruder Duct making it better.

In order to best print support are requested but not required, as the sloping back gets a little rough.
I believe I left the Throat duct too long, simply sanding of cutting to fit was the last update I did.
The duct should be perfectly horizontal when installed.
