Has anyone had any luck in getting HICTOP to send them the uncompiled Marlin files for the firmware they ship on the control boards for the 3DP-11-ATL or 3DP-12?

I have talked to Hictop many times about this very subject all they will send is a HEX file located here.

However there are many Marlin versions newer and Better the Hictops Hex FIle.

I did get one Hictop employee to send me a link to what he called Hictops Source code, tho it was a ruse and was not Hictops source.

I found some source on Thingiverse, but it won't compile. I'll probably pick it apart anyway and see what I can glean from it.

I contacted them and they sent me source code. I didn't try to compile it as there's more current source here and Roberts_Clif was kind enough to help me get it configured correctly for my 3DP-03.

I don't think this is the actual source code they use, though, just what they send to people when they ask for firmware source.

Pls check, we upload it.

Both Hictop Firmware's shown here are from MakerLab, I believe they will both work, though I do not believe either is original Hictop
as both use the Ultimaker hot end defaults, and one has references for "Orca"

// Ultimaker hot end defaults

the FW i posted is from HICTOP.tw, it works fine on my 3DP12, with a few changed

i needed an uncompiled version because i changed my extruder motor and need to change the settings after calibrating the extruder

if its of help then fine but always check out the file before you flash as i'm still learning myself!

Now that you have the Older Marlin working you should Upgrade to Marlin 1.1.5
They have many new features that you should not have to live without.

Need help I have Marlin 1.1.5 version working on both my Hictops.

Been absent a while as I've been busy printing! Still using the 'stock' that I got from the Hictop site, the pre-compiled version, but after Halloween I plan on re-visiting updated firmware. I definitely need to learn the firmware settings since I'm strongly internally debating building a 500mm cube printer, likely based on the CR-10.

I should send you dave's configuration for Marlin 1.1.5 as he had a stock 3DP12

When you decide I will be here to help will the Hictop,
Though you may need help from others with the Cube as I am not familiar with it settings.
I will be in the watching as want to learn how to do a cube myself.
