Happy New Year (in a "weird" way)

Post by nilrog »

I saw that one American site posted on Twitter about a weird German New Years tradition...but the fact is...it's not only a tradition there...it has existed in Sweden too...for as long as I can remember (not revealing my age) :-P

Happy New Year everyone! (and enjoy the show...just as we do every year)

:-P

It's been aired continuously, with one exception (the year of the Tsunami), since 1976 in Sweden...and made its premier 1969.

So I think it's safe to say most Swede's know the plot by now

And if that isn't "crazy" enough...we have, for almost as long, watched "Ivanhoe" on New Year's Day

And recently, every year, Sam Neill writes a funny tweet about it

God, are all familiar. We have every year for the past 30 years new year's eve show the movie called "The irony of fate or with light steam!" on almost all channels.
