I wouldn't be too fast ruling that out.
Nothing concrete, but I heard some birdies in the past talk differently :)
Not that that is any guarantee it will ever come as I assume they are experimenting with a lot, but still.

No, certainly not. But it would be nice to keep the very well working base of my UM2, so in case you know somebody else who created such an extruder for the UM2 AND sells it, please let me know. That would save me the work of creating something with the pancake stepper motor myself :-)

You will probably have to wait for Foehnsturms work... somewhere end of next month or so iirc...
