Anything to suggest this is even close to real?

Well, the thing that suggest that it might be real is that it is not made by a unknown startup, but by Zapata Racing who makes those Flyboards:

Yes, I was very skeptical at first, but then I looked at their other videos and they are very proficient with 'water-based' flyboards...
So maybe yes, after all...

Just what the marine life need, more noise on the reef.
I used to have some fantastic end of day dives on a reef just laying on the sand by a small coral head interacting with the marine creatures, if one of these had started coming into the reef I would have started taking a spear gun and have some sport with them

On one hand, these kind of nicely edited videos always makes me very skeptical.
On the other hand, this guy managed to maintain altitude with two jet engines strapped to his boots and a wing suit, years ago:
So, to some extent, I am surprised no one just added a few more jet engines to their boots long time ago, considering how many crazy people there are on this planet

Those little jets guzzle fuel fast...but you know, like anything else, it will be interesting what future versions do!

So he straps 2 hot water bottles of fuel inside the stomach/groin of his wing suit, one little mistake and its "great balls of fire"

I just saw another video on 'the social network', and this looks definitely real...
Not sure how to share such video, but it is the latest post on this page...
