I've been playing with Arduino stuff for a few years on my R2 project.

One thing I never really had was a good amount of 'formal' training...that was fun, had good examples and had everything I needed.

If you've ever been interested in learning it, I have to share this wonderful start up kit from Sparkfun

SparkFun Inventor's Kit

I'm sure there are other bundles out there...but for me, this one had everything in one box. Plus the online tutorials.

I am also a big fan of the Adafruit projects and tutorials as well!

Adafruit are a great bunch, great for Ardunio and Raspberry Pi. Some great add-ons.
My electronics and computing are very poor to nonexistent, I was using the Raspberry Pi to improve these skills but with my Open University course this has had to take a back seat for a few years.

Yeah, Adafruit's content is really great! I like their Pi add-ons very much. Also the arduino products, neopixel libraries etc. learn.adafruit.com is actually very nicely made. Cool stuff.

Adafruit's stuff is really nice! I found this worklog and did for my niece this incredible crown for the birthday last year.
