Mosfet Upgade

Hi all
If this is the wrong section, please let me know.
I bought a Mosfet
I have wired it up, I think correctly as it seems very simple, I set the temp of the bed to say 60°C and nothing happens, it does not get hot.
I am not an electrician so I am limited to what I can do.
I have checked the voltage that goes into the Mosfet and it's 12v, so that bit is OK.
The output is zero.
I have tried switching around the wires that come from the MKS board but that make no difference.
I think the Mosfet is not working.
I took out the Mosfet and I re-connected the old wiring and it works OK.
The reason I wanted to upgrade is because I sometimes get Themal runway error, reset when heating the bed.
Any advice would be useful.
Thanks
Lez

They are easy to install for someone that has worked on electronics.

Though they can be a little confusing.

I referred to Fugatech's video when installing mine on the FT-5 a while ago This may help

Thanks for the rely.
I looked at the link and also watched the video. It appears I did wire the Mosfet up correctly!
So it must be faulty.
Paul, on a side note, it only takes a few minutes to get my bed to 60°C whereas in the video it was taking around 15 min for a stock Folger FT5.
I may have a later version than Fugatech. The only change I made with mine was it did not come with a thermister for the bed so I bought one.

Again thanks

Lez

I agree, mine doesn't take a long time heat up...no longer than my Ultimaker 2+ or even my CR-10S (my Tevo Tornado has an AC bed so that's super quick).
