Raspberry Pi 4 and Octoprint?

Anyone using the newest Pi with Octoprint?

I like the USB 3 ports, which would allow me to put an external SSD on it....I'm not sure the Octoprint image directly supports that (would it boot to SSD) I've burned up a few SD cards from so many prints over the past year or so...those just can't seem to handle the big prints I give it.

Not sure if it will boot directly, but there is no reason you can't have the boot loader on SD and boot to USB as the root device. In fact, I used to test this on TI Omap4 Pandaboards when I was doing Arm enablement work for Canonical (Ubuntu). I'd have to study up on the Pi 4 boot paths. It would be very handy to support alternate boot modes, especially with power over ethernet.

I was planning on purchasing a couple of Pi 4's to replace my Pi 3's with Octoprint on the 3rd of February.
So I will be getting some real life experience and have more information to post later in February...
