Hairspray!

I mentioned elsewhere, I thought I would give the AquaNet unscented/extra hold brand a try.

It's interesting to have a transparent glass bed again! I've become used to the cloudy surface the diluted Elmer's Wood glue gives.

The reason I am trying this is for some reason, the mirror my FT-5 uses seems to not have great adhesion using the diluted glue surface. I have a particular print that has thin legs to it, and those keep detaching and making a mess of the print (and printer!).

I sprayed down the mirror (outside, so I wouldn't have an overspray mess inside) until it looked "wet". I then allowed to dry on a 60C bed for 15 minutes.

First results seem really good.

Will the hairspray require touch ups after each print? Or, like the diluted wood glue method, just clean and re-apply in a few weeks?

No need to spray on the glass. Paper towel, window washer and a few puffs of hairspray. And rub it on the glass bed. Clean and simple :)

I think my first time at it was a bit too heavy...it looks like a church's stained glass window :)
