With the 0.35 mm resolution, for that price you are better of buying the Einscan-s with 0.1mm resolution around $1000,-
it's the difference between a blob shape and nice detail :)

I'm not opposed to you mentioning your product here but I would be interested to hear you address the point someone made above.

He probably won't :)
he made the exact same posting on several sites, with no answer or discussion.

I suspect your right. Blizz was thinking the same thing as me...allow this obvious advertisement or see if they are willing to actually engage in a discussion about it (much like Nallath fields comments about Cura, etc.)

How should we deal with such posts in the future? When I saw it initially, I was tempted to delete it as spam but couldn't convince myself fully. Should the user be warned? Or should this be discussed between the admins, maybe voted on? Or am I making this too complicated? :-)

Maybe we should have a separate Selling Topic, commercial, and users,
and you must at least have some contributed in some form before you can sell items, and not just make 2 postings, and only postings about selling scanners :)

But with the whole selling stuff topic, could also be cause for a lot of crap, like ripping off forum users and such.
maybe just a topic where you can post the link to the Ebay or Etsy site, or discount codes you have or know about ?
so you know you won't have to respond or expect an answer :)

These are all valid points. And I was giving the user the benefit of a doubt...maybe he is just spamming as many 3D printing forums as they can? Or...perhaps they want to engage in a conversation?

I'll delete the post and user in 24 hours (so everyone can see this response) :)

Thanks for the reply :)

I do agree you have more freedom while scanning, and if you don't need fine detail, then the Fuel3D is probably fine.
too bad you need an annual subscription to be able to do better scans !? ( I hate that :))

And just to correct the specs for the Einscan-S, the platform is to automate the scan for smaller objects, it takes only 3mins to do the scan, and produces a watertight printable 3D scan, and even in colour if you want,
and for larger objects you can put it on a tripod, and scan up to 70cm objects, but takes a bit longer to do :)
