House rules

Post by LePaul »

I was reading the latest post on the Ultimaker board and how they updated the House Rules

Be real.

Don’t spam our forums. Spam includes unsolicited advertisements for goods, services and/or other websites, or posts with little or completely unrelated content. Do not spam the forums with links to your site or products, or try to self-promote your website, business or forums etc.

Maybe this has always been there but it struck me a bit funny.

How many times have I seen various members give links to their sites for parts that aren't available, other 3D printing reference sites (the 3DVerkstan visual trouble shooting guide comes to mind) and of course, here.

I think our forum still annoys some at Ultimaker. Where they feel all discussions of Ultimaker printers belong there :?:

It's not about useful links but silly spam...

It might annoy some people at Ultimaker, but as a whole, I think there is no issue. I personally prefer this forum, as the "density" of advanced users is much higher, which leads to much more in depth discussions.

I feel that this forum now fills the role that the google groups used to have back in the 'ol days.
