Well, it is mostly working, maybe just give it a few days and see what happens

Sounds good

The domain went in Sunday so maybe it takes a bit longer to resolve on all the DNS servers around the world?

I did setup a little script yesterday that tries to resolve the DNS name every minute. The DNS resolution did not work during these periodes (while other sites did not show any DNS issues):

Fri Feb 12 2016 00:00 - 00:14
Fri Feb 12 2016 00:18

All times are Central European Time (GMT+1).

Lol!
I was typing how I have never seen DNS issues on this forum and when I posted that it failed with an "unable to resolve" error.
This was for about 2 minutes before it came back online.

Perhaps your TTL on the @ is way too short? If the IP is not going to change its not bad practice to up it a little bit :)

Has been impossible to reach the forum most of the time for the last few hours tonight.
Hmm, I wonder what is going on and how to fix it?
Anyway, while the forum was offline I got some "old forum inspiration" from the discussions at this forum and invented a PTFE lined aluminum spacer. Seems to work perfectly together with the I2K-isolator :)

I wish I knew!

It seems to work well at daytime, so maybe the forum is trying to tell me not to stay up until 4 am
Anyway, maybe it is just about some DNS-servers that are not updating properly? I guess we can wait a week or so to see of the problems disappear?

It's normal to have to relogin every day? Doesn't bother much but it's weird.

@neotko: Not an issue here, haven't had to re-login since I registered.

I also never experienced that I had to re-login.

Here some more DNS downtime stats:

Sat Feb 13 2016 00:14:01 - 00:18:01
Sat Feb 13 2016 09:20:01 - 09:26:01

Again all times are GMT+1.

Well I made 2 changes to the hosting...

1) Static IP. I didn't realize it was on a shared one, so maybe this will help our European friends

2) Nightly back ups. Shouldn't see any performance hit since it happens quickly But, if things go bad, we can always roll back :)

I hope we continue to see more people come visit.

I also wanted to inquire if anyone was still getting DNS errors? Or did the modification resolve it?

I never see this error. Maybe this is some regional provider's bug in Europe?

I haven't seen any DNS issues anymore since you did the last modifications.
