Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Today was a charity fundraiser at the local movie theater, featuring Batman in honor of the new LEGO Batman playing at the cinema
We had a really good time, my good friend made a Robin costume and I had my Batman/Dark Knight suit. (And I sweat...and sweat...it's a very heavy and warm suit under all that heavy armor!)
During a break between shows, we went across the street to the mall, visiting the Sears store I usually work on Saturdays. The staff loved the visit and we had fun causing some chaos in each department....
And many, many pictures with fans...

Quote from a famous man: "So I am not a believer, and I will, unless somebody can prove something to me, I believe there’s weather. I believe there’s change, and I believe it goes up and it goes down, and it goes up again. And it changes depending on years and centuries, but I am not a believer, and we have much bigger problems."

I don't think we've ever had more than 15 cm of snow here... And even then it's a mess. Public transport basically shuts down, people suddenly forget how to drive, etc.
Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Created a pull request for it, so it should be in the 2.5 release. You should also be able to use the files from my Cura fork and put those in your resources. Cura 2.3 and 2.4 use the same definition versions.LePaul wrote: Folger Tech FT-5 Large Scale Printer Kit

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
In Zurich public transportation shuts down on first snow every time, even if there's just a few flakes. It's like they've been waiting for it all year and then all go "yay no work today...".
Don't think I've ever seen anything like 30 inches of snow in my life, and I'm Swiss... Maybe that one time in Austria, but at the time I was barely a meter tall myself so it might just have appeared like a huge lot to me

76.2 cm of snow is a lot. We are suprised if there is a few cm of snow.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I am simply way too busy right now do write any extensive forum post. Things should be a bit less busy in a few weeks though.
Today, I have among other things been testing the repeatability of the Z-positioning on the Delta Tower: And been extruding some boron carbide plastic with the new extruder: Next week it is time for metal printing training, looking forward to that

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I received some small stuff from Misumi (still, always like christmas... ) yesterday and am now only waiting for the last few bits (pins, actually) to assemble my mini hotend. The printer around it will take a bit longer, but I need to know if the direct extruder drive works before I tailor a printer around it. Last shipment will arrive by tomorrow, so stay tuned

Anders: I hope that after (or during) your metal printer training, you get to share some videos/pictures... So curious about those things!

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Been very busy at home lately due to a private "Trump crisis" involving kindergarten
But today I finally got some time to replace the print head on my UMO+
I will post some pictures in my own printer thread later.
