Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
My FT job has been going through a lot of reorgs and turmoil (for me). I was offered a position with a former manager 2 weeks ago, which I accepted just to get out of my current rut. I officially cut over today. However, Tuesday, I found out that she is moving on, and her team (me included) are being combined into another team in a different building.
So, officially, I have now had 3 managers in 3 weeks, and if I go back to last summer, 5 managers in the last calendar year (one retired, replacement left while I was on vacation in Hawaii, putting me in my current situation).
The team I am leaving was on terminal life support just after manager 1 retired, and our new priority was to update our resumes. That was when I left for Hawaii. I returned, and our GM had moved our team to another division. Today, the division that that team moved into reorg'd to be part of the division that tried to cut us. Oh, and the team I am moving to? They are now under the senior management that tried to ax my previous team.
On a good note, I made ~$12 so far from Print-a-Thing. So there's that going for me.

Dude, she could be your daughter!
*ba-dum tss*
Been working on my workshop inventory for some time now (workbench, storage racks, that kind of stuff) and I'm getting ready to finally start building my CNC machine which has been in the works forever.

Ha! @jonnybischof !! You wait until you are older and you'll appreciate it when a younger woman picks you!
It's only a 20 year age gap
But we have a lot of fun together and have known each other a long time before dating.
@GrueMaster that's awful. I don't recall the line of work you are in but I know in the Information Technology world, it's tough. I was downsized out a few years ago but now work for a University with the online learning system. While it's a good job on paper, it's not quite what I am used to. When you move up the Tier scale of support, it's more meetings than hands on. Somedays I miss running around all day solving issues and closing tickets. As always, I keep an eye on the job openings elsewhere, just in case something more interesting pops open.

@LePaul I was going to mention how lucky you are.
Being single currently. I would gladly give and receive the love and devotion from any women that I was compatible with age 35 - 55.

I showed Jr Thingiverse this weekend...and he immediately selected two things he wants me to print asap
I'm amazed how quickly he managed to find them...
This is the simplest of the two models he showed me...do I need to say what his main interest is? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2718242

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
@LePaul: with "a girlfriend"? Not "the" or "my"?
Been working my 3 printers to death
A lot of multi-material prints to show off.
I promised to give a printing demo to about 100 kids.
So far I printed excellent props (a 200% sized E3D V6 hotend thanks to Thingiverse) to show how the melting part works, but I still don't know how to best demonstrate what slicing entails and how it results in a "plastic thingy".
Any ideas?

It's ok @jonnybischof
She teases me because of our age gap every now and then. I'll talk about an old 80's band and she'd remind me she was born in 89. Opps!
