Smaller nozzles

Post by Izzy »

I've been testing the smaller nozzles and have just finished my latest Braq dragon.
IMG_1177.JPG
The one at the back is the full size one printed with a 0.4mm nozzle in Faberdashery 'BlingBlingGold'
The cream one is printed at 50% with a 0.25mm nozzle in Faberdashery 'Glowbug yellow'.
And at the front the small one is printed at 35% with the 0.15mm nozzle in Faberdashery 'Orange Fizz' a slightly translucent filament. There is a standard nozzle in the front for scale as well.
Now I'm looking for a suitable filament to test the 0.1mm nozzle, at 25%.
Although I dont think it will be fully articulated, trying to get the elastic through those small holes in the parts was difficult enough in the 35% one, it was a bit like trying to get a worm back into its hole, trying to thread a very small wire though and get it to turn through a right angle and push through so that it could then be used to pull through the elastic was not the easiest.
The neck and tail were ok it was the wings and legs that were testing.

Sorry guys, been busy as Sue lost her father in May and we have been going upto Warrington a lot and have the coroners court in November as he had a bad stroke to his brain stem.
I’ve not been using my small nozzles lately as Sue and I have been running a lot of PolySmooth, we have been testing it for some more finer and delicate prints, including making, cleaning, polishing and assembling six yes 6 Braq dragons at 75% scale 2 or each in Black, Teal and Transparent, 1 of each plus some other items will go back to 3DFilaPrint for there display as a thanks for the loan of the Polysher. But more of that along with our report when we have finished it all...
