In my case that was no problem, as the brass was touching the nozzle anyway

The only tinkering that might be required is the fanshroud. My old designed fan shroud was too large, the nozzle didn't clear the shroud as the Ruby is less high than the original UMO nozzle. Do you have a picture of your hot end? And as Neotko mentioned, your coupler?

So if the nozzle sits flush on the heater block, that's no big deal? I thought it was.

When I first mounted the nozzle post

Yes, it does fit. Found a few pics....I had used the ruby a lot for many prints and that shroud.

Finally a night to assemble a ruby nozzle and install it in the UMO. I had to raise the Z limit switch a half inch so the nozzle got close to the bed. (Forgot I had to do that last time too). The nozzle sticks out a good deal since the brass pipe is in so far but I heated , tightened and checked again. Everything seems flush

He looks a bit better, if you click on the image, there's still a few blobs by the left eye

This is using Ultimaker silver PLA, so it may desire a higher temp. I printed at 215C, which is what my Colorfabb materials like with the ruby nozzle.

Tonight I'll try it again at 225 and see what we get.

Still the same blobs. Hmm. Not sure what else to tweak on this. Maybe a bit more retraction? Using the latest Cura

Just tried a little experiment

Ever tweak so much in Cura you suspect one of the zillion of settings is fouled up? Yeah...so went to 15.04.6 which has always worked fine. I don't dare touch 2.3.1 since I have nGen setup darn-near-perfect for the Ultimaker 2+ (I really wish I could saving settings and name it 'nGen' and make something similar for Colorfab PLA, for Ultimaker PLA, etc.)

With that said, I did the robot with the same basic settings... 0.2 layers, 225C , bed at 60C, retraction at 45 mm/sec and 4.6mm distance....and it came out very nice! I decided to do a different print, this time the 2 owls one. Again, same settings but a tad more fan since we still have a little droop in the Ultimaker robot's chest. 3 hours to go!

Re saving your profiles,
you can with S3D ;-) and I thought you could with Cura too, I haven't used it for a few months now but I'm sure you could save profiles.
