I've noticed that while doing a print today, it lays the first portion down perfect but it quickly retracts and peels up the edge. On later layers it leaves behind some material
Is my retract too fast? Too much distance?

Re: Kicking up filament?
Make sure the nozzle is clean on the outside. It can get covered with filament if your first layer is printed to close to the bed.

Re: Kicking up filament?
I'm not sure this is bed height. The nozzle was clean
Now on this print, same object, with Cura 2.1.2 and coasting, the last edges weren't kicked up as before
