So some of you might have seen my topic @UMforum, or my mention in the Tea topic, but let's try it out here
UMforum link:

So summarizing:
Model:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:253934
Based on:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:243278
I'm printing it at .75 scale, because I was short on red(ColorFabb traffic Red PLA), though I might have to buy new red anyway.
First I had some trouble with blobbing:
Turns out my zhop on retraction was on, turned that off for the next print.
Then I had some difficulties with underextrusion/wall quality/overhangs:
Got some tips, printed slower(35mm/s), cooler(190C) and at 0% infill. Results, still not the wall quality I want:
All the prints at thingiverse look super crisp, I don't understand why I'm failing so hard. I'll try another PLA I use more often. Any idea what is going wrong?

Hmm, I recall horrible Ultimaker blue PLA-experiences when I see that.
I haven't had such bad prints with the Colorfabb PLA/(PHA) though, even though it is a bit stringy from time to time.
How is the condition of your nozzle and is it properly tightened? (yes, been there, done that
)

You're getting a lot of stringing...I've always found 200C to be the right temp for ColorFabb (black, orange and silver). 40 mm/sec also seems to be the sweet spot on my UMO+HBU

Could it be my bed temperature 55C that causes the strange walls on the overhanging gears? I'm throwing in a trusty white colorfabb PLA now to see if that prints better.

Tried to print with white:
First strange thing I notice again is that when printing 2 at the same time, the second one has a worse bottom(and perhaps also higher) layer quality. I have to relevel the bed anyway, but it's pretty clear that something causes underextrusion on the second one:
It seems I get the same bad wall quality with white PLA. Parts came loose, so I don't have a full part:
But damn, why is this part so hard. I'm gonna clean bed, relevel, try to print with 30C bed temperature.

Are you aure your ptfe coupler it's ok? When it starts to die changes size and leaks between the barrel and peek. Check the lower side of the peek and if you see any blackgoo, you need to do an atomic without the coupler and change the coupler. Maybe it's just any number of other stuff.

Didn't disassemble everything, but I don't see any leaking going on. Currently trying to connect over USB to level/firmware reset/update. But my PC recognizes an Arduino, but my UM doesn't do the connect routine?

White is difficult to print with, I had a really tough time with that color filament.

Мersion with white plastic shows uncalibrated beds. I had a similar experience with bronze nozzle, which was used for 5 months without stopping, and was in the last stage. Nozzle replacement and recalibration should help. Plus the fact that despite the new revisions plastic from Colorfabb with reduced melting point, profiles in Cura are not changed, and the temperature default is all of the same 210 degrees. It also makes sense to slightly increase the speed of the retraction.

Ok update time:
@Anders, @Neotko, you guys are hero's!
I'm now using dual fanshroud and the ruby nozzle, and the parts are coming out so much better! Not sure which of the two upgrades did it or that it is a combination, but no more blobbing!
Check out the difference, the one with the skirt around it was just printed, the rest are old ones and contain blobbing, stringing, underextrusion etc.

How powerful are your fans? I posted in the shroud thread and noticed the fans I bought move a lot of air. I wanted to compare to the fans you guys were able to source.
I couldn't find Kapton tape locally but I have some aluminum hi temp tape I hope will work!

Not sure if but I didn't do the tweaking, 100%all the way. Quite a lot of which is nice to as long as it doesn't bounce to your heater it can be huge, just print faster and hotter then :p
