I would rather recommend the tutorials from NYC-CNC or Autodesk itself.

NYC-CNC has some very good ones, he has a Tormach Personal CNC I would love to have!

I switched to Fusion 360 from FreeCAD and Blender for most of my modelling work, although I still need Blender for rendering and the occasional modelling job that Fusion simply cannot handle at all, or only very slowly.

The 3D printing nerd's tutorial was very poor, and did not really explain all the in and outs of 3D printing that ought to have been considered. Sigh. It's about time I made some tuts about modelling for FDM, but time is against me.

Well the 3D printing nerd likes to post for the sake of posting videos. Sadly most of his videos and 'reviews' and vague, indecisive and largely painful to watch at times lol

The tutorials from Autodesk themselves are very good, I agree. I realy like their support forums as well, lots of enthusiastic people there who know all the ins and outs, as well as employees that answer your questions.

About the 3D printing nerd, I agree with you Paul. I like to watch his unboxing videos sometimes, but he talks a lot without really saying much most of the time. His reviews aren't critical at all, he will only mention the things he likes instead of mentioning some of the cons as well.

Exactly right.

I enjoy seeing the new stuff, like anyone else does.

But it's pretty obvious he gets all these things for free and as such, he seems hard pressed to say anything critical Everything is "thumbs up" and good. Certainly not the blunt truth you get with Tom's 3D.
