Sorry for a Newbie question, but I am using an MP Select Mini V-2 printer and Cura 3.1.0.
No problem printing if I write to a memory card and insert it into the printer, but I cannot print directly from the computer with a (usb / mini usb) cable plugged into the mini usb port. It seems that the computer does not "see" that the printer is attached.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help.
Can't seem to print direct from my computer to printer.

You need to first figure out what Com port your printer shows up as. When you plug it in, it will show up in Windows Device Manager as a COM port (i.e. COM3). Then you can set Cura to use that port to connect to your printer.

Thanks for input
OK then....it is on COM4 but I cannot find anyplace to set Cura with that information.

Cura should auto detect it. But i would not recommend printing directly from USB.
Re: Can't seem to print direct from my computer to printer.
Does Cura have a default port?

Seriously, I would use USB/SD Card over USB. Computers are notorious for putting USB ports on sleep mode after a duration of time.
You avoid all of those problems using the sd card/usb drive
