@nallath , with the struggle to get good info on OctoPrint and the Ultimaker 2+ setting....will USB printing do so, reliably? Or am I looking for trouble down the road?

@LePaul I think you got all answered to set it up. It should be quite easy if you check the gcode generated and read/check everything again.

Well Labern and I have the same questions, trying to sort out what Start / End code to use on the 2+

That part you have he answer on the forum. Also, that info is on the machine definition when you set the reprap flavor like the small txt says.

Well he mentioned he did not know about the 2+ settings.
Yes, I see the Marlin setting he mentioned

2 and 2+ are the same for that. Nothing changes there

Also didn't you had s3d? That start/end also works. Nothing special about that. You know gcode, edit it. Is very straight forward and gcode info is on the marlin um2 (google)

I hadn't thought about just cutting and pasting from the Simplify3D. That's actually a really good idea.

This is actually fairly common to see semi-frequent point releases, although I am surprised you don't have some automation system for building/testing. It should be fairly straight-forward using a system with a bunch of VMs running different OSs. Control the whole pool with a lot of Jenkins jobs.

(if you didn't guess, I specialize in QA automation - just not on Mac).
