@nallath , with the struggle to get good info on OctoPrint and the Ultimaker 2+ setting....will USB printing do so, reliably? Or am I looking for trouble down the road?

@LePaul I think you got all answered to set it up. It should be quite easy if you check the gcode generated and read/check everything again.

Well Labern and I have the same questions, trying to sort out what Start / End code to use on the 2+

That part you have he answer on the forum. Also, that info is on the machine definition when you set the reprap flavor like the small txt says.

2 and 2+ are the same for that. Nothing changes there

Also didn't you had s3d? That start/end also works. Nothing special about that. You know gcode, edit it. Is very straight forward and gcode info is on the marlin um2 (google)

I hadn't thought about just cutting and pasting from the Simplify3D. That's actually a really good idea.

This is actually fairly common to see semi-frequent point releases, although I am surprised you don't have some automation system for building/testing. It should be fairly straight-forward using a system with a bunch of VMs running different OSs. Control the whole pool with a lot of Jenkins jobs.

(if you didn't guess, I specialize in QA automation - just not on Mac).
