+1 to all things Anders mentioned :)

And btw Nallath, the "stuck slicing" bug is still present in v2.3.1...it has happened twice to me. Maybe not in the exact shape as before...but there is still something buggy there. Although this time, by clicking on, or touching, something, don't remember what, Cura started slicing. So a full Cura restart was not necessary.

The "stuck slicing"-bug is still there in 2.4 Beta.
Both gr5 and I have collect log-files of the event, so nallath should have a reasonable chance to sort that out :-)
Here is the settings that caused it in my case.

I could restart Cura and still get the same error when loading the same model (3DBenchy) with the same settings.
Just changing layer height to 0.09 or 0.11 fixes the issue.

this already works: https://ultimaker.com/en/community/3441 ... ?page=last
a nice pause button next to the save button.

But if I recall what was mentioned elsewhere is that this doesn't stop the actual processing, just the graphic. The performance hit is still there

Wow, thanks a lot, I was not aware of that plugin!
It appears to work fine in 2.4 Beta by the way and the CPU load drops to idle levels when slicing is paused :-)

Easiest way to stop Cura from slicing is to set line width to 0. Then do your settings and transformation and reset line width.

No the old version did that. The new version actually stops it.

The plugin has been merged into Cura. So you now have a way to pause slicing in "vanilla" Cura 2.5

@ nallath, great news :-) where to get it (2.5) ? ;-)

b.t.w. is the issue with heating both nozzels also when making just a single nozzle print for dual printer also fixed there?

I don't know. It's a thing the engine does.
